Luigi Valori has been producing wine on his estate in Abruzzo since 1996
with unrivalled verve and enthusiasm.
The 40 year old vines are planted 230M above sea level in the commune of Teramo and are planted mostly to Montepulciano the signature grape of the region.
The vineyards have a south-east exposure ensuring plenty of ripe grapes whilst the altitude and proximity to the Adriatic ensure a balancing freshness in the finished wine. Luigi farms his vineyards with respect to the enviroment and the wines are made with a welcome blend of traditional and modern technology.
The estate currently produces 140,000 bottles; 110,000 of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo with the balance split between Trebbiano and Merlot.
